Seamstress and vintage fashion specialist
This pattern is a 1930 McCall pattern. I made it in a black satin. As it seemed to be cut low under the left arm, I raised this area by several inches. What a great decision! It fits a modern size 12-14, is made for the tall woman, and does not allow for a full bust (typical of the period). Must keep the pattern pieces laid out so you can see them as the dress is being put together, otherwise it's too confusing. Beautiful dress!
